Corporate History

The following is an introduction to our corporate history.

1974

Sept.: Established in Kariya City, Aichi Prefecture (Trade name: Tomei Shoji)

1976

July.: Tomei Corporation Co., Ltd. incorporated in same district.
Succeeded to license issued by Minister of Construction Registration (1) No. 2669 granted under the real estate business law to Tomei Shoji.
Nov.: Acquired license issued by Governor of Aichi Prefecture (i) No 6301 under the construction industry law.

1977

Mar.: Tomei Management Center Co., Ltd. established.
Tomei First-Class Design Office registered under the architects law opened.
June: Construction of new headquarters building starts.
July: Acquired license as a first-class architectural office issued by Governor of Aichi Prefecture (General-51) No 6078 under the construction industry law.

1978

Nov.: Hamamatsu Sales Office (currently, Hamamatsu Branch) opened.

1979

Jan.: Headquarters moved upon completion of new building (at Shouei-cho, Kariya, Aichi Prefecture).
Feb.: Converted construction business license granted by Governor to one granted by Construction minister.
Apr.: Converted real estate business license granted by Governor to one granted by Construction minister.

1980

July: Completed additions to headquarter building.

1982

Apr.: European House Co., Ltd. established.
June: Company dispatches employees to Denmark, Norway, and Sweden to study overseas technology.
Employees dispatched to study overseas technology in United States.

1983

June: European House starts first stage sales of condominiums of "Royal City".
July: Employees dispatched to study overseas technology in France, United Kingdom, and Germany.

1984

Feb.: European House starts second stage sales of condominiums of "Fabre City".
European House begins sales of detached houses at Misonodai.
Apr.: Souda Kansui Architectural Design Research Office established.
June: Shinnihon Building Co., Ltd. established.
Oct.: European House starts third stage sales of condominiums of "Queen City".

1985

Jan.: European House model house exhibit at Chukyo Television Housing Plaza, Obu.
July: European House starts fourth stage sales of condominiums of "Guimard City".

1986

Sept.: First rental housing management seminar held.
Nov.: European House model house exhibit at Jingu Higashi Chunichi Housing Center.

1988

Feb.: European House model house exhibit at CBC Housing Nagakute Sumai Park.
Apr.: European House model house exhibit at Nagoya Television Yagoto Housing.
Dec.: European House model house exhibit at CBC Housing Kanie Interchange park.

1989

Mar.: European House establishes Tsurumai Sales Office.
June: 89' Housing Design Forum held.

1990

Mar.: Tomei Corporation Co., Ltd. changes its name to Tomei Lease Construction Co., Ltd.
Apr.: Token Group Training Center completed.
European House model house exhibit at Chukyo Television Housing Plaza Jingu.
June: Corporate logo mark changed from TOMEI to TOKEN.
Aug.: Totsu Agency Co., Ltd. founded as a subsidiary.

1991

July: Token Corporation Co., Ltd. is newly established as a specialist in construction of corporate lease buildings.
Oct.: Employee shareholders plan launched.

1992

Jan.: Kanto Head Office opened in Shinbashi, Minato-ku, and Tokyo.
Mar.: Corporate Division building (currently, the Design Operations Div.) completed.
Apr.: Higashi Osaka Branch (currently Higashi Osaka Outlet) opened.
May: Tomei Lease Construction Co., Ltd. changes its name to Token Corporation Co., Ltd.
June: Headquarters moved upon completion of new building (at Shouei-cho, Kariya, Aichi Prefecture).
July: Token Corporation merges with European House, Token Corporation Co., Ltd. and Shinnihon Building. Housing and Corporate Business divisions formed at the same time.

1993

Mar: The first Token Corporation Cup tournament held at Kedoin Golf Club in Kagoshima Prefecture.
Renovation Division established.
July: The 20th anniversary of the founding of the Company.

1994

Mar.: The second Token Corporation Cup tournament held at Kedoin Golf Club in Kagoshima Prefecture.
May: Totsu Travel Co., Ltd. founded as a subsidiary.
July: Rental housing information magazine Home Mate launched.
Fixed-term lease dept. established.

1995

Mar.: The third Token Corporation Cup tournament held at Kedoin Golf Club in Kagoshima Prefecture.
Apr.: Special buildings dept. established. (currently the Housing Business Division)

1996

Mar.: The fourth Token Corporation Cup tournament held at Kedoin Golf Club in Kagoshima Prefecture.
July: Brokerage Development Office established. (currently the Corporate Sales Department of the Agency Inspection Division)

1997

Mar.: The fifth Token Corporation Cup tournament held at Kedoin Golf Club in Kagoshima Prefecture.
Token Corporation shares are publicly listed with the Japan Securities Dealers Association.
July: Chubu Business Headquarters relocated to Showa-ku in Nagoya.

1998

Mar.: The sixth Token Corporation Cup tournament held at Kedoin Golf Club in Kagoshima Prefecture.
Shizuoka Rental Management Center opened.
Token Leava Co., Ltd. is founded as a subsidiary.
Apr.: Okayama Design & Construction Office opened.
May: Token Leava acquires Chiba Cisco Plant, a steel beams plant in Yachimata, Chiba.

1999

Jan.: Made organizational revision based in line with introduction of a small and medium-sized business block system (Business "headquarter" system abolished).
Mar.: The seventh Token Corporation Cup tournament held at Kedoin Golf Club in Kagoshima Prefecture.

2000

Mar.: The eighth Token Corporation Cup tournament held at Kedoin Golf Club in Kagoshima Prefecture.

2001

Mar.: The ninth Token Corporation Cup tournament held at Tado Country Golf Club in Mie Prefecture.
A training dormitory completed on land adjacent to headquarters building.

2002

Jan.: Business office names are standardized to "branches".
Mar.: Token Corporation's stock is listed on the second sections of the Tokyo Stock Exchange and the Nagoya Securities Exchange.
The tenth Token Corporation Cup tournament held at Kedoin Golf Club in Kagoshima Prefecture.
July: Token Leava acquires the Izumo Plant of former Dantani Industries, Co., Ltd.
Sept.: Token Leava establishes Shanghai Tohan International Trading Co., Ltd., a Chinese subsidiary.
Oct.: Company begins construction of new headquarter building in the Marunouchi area of Naka-ku, Nagoya.
Nov.: Token Leava acquires the plant of NK Homes Co., Ltd.

2003

Jan.: Company acquires the Tado Country Golf Club in Tadocho, Mie Prefecture.
Mar.: The 11th Token Home Mate Cup tournament held at TADO Country Club Nagoya in Mie Prefecture.
June: Token Corporation simultaneously lists it shares on the first sections of the Tokyo Stock Exchange and the Nagoya Securities Exchange.
Oct.: Token Leava acquires ISO 9001: 2000 certification for its Chiba Cisco and Izumo Dantani plants.

2004

Mar.: The 12th Token Home Mate Cup tournament held at TADO Country Club Nagoya in Mie Prefecture.
July: Headquarters moved to new location in Marunouchi, Naka-ku, Nagoya.
Information Systems Department acquires BS7799 Standards and Information Security Management System (ISMS) certification.
Sept.: Token Hall Marunouchi begins event rental for general public.
Token Leava opens Showroom.
Token Leava acquires ISO 9001: 2000 certification for its NK Fukaya Plant.
Nov.: Token Resort Japan Co., Ltd. established.
Token Corporation acquires Fuji Country Shuga Club golf course in Kani, Gifu Prefecture.

2005

Mar.: The 13th Token Home Mate Cup tournament held at TADO Country Club Nagoya in Mie Prefecture.
Apr.: Token Leava acquires NAS Stainless Co., Ltd. Token NAS Stainless Co., Ltd. established.

2006

Apr.: The 14th Token Home Mate Cup tournament held at Token Shuga Country Club in Gifu Prefecture.

2007

Apr.: The 15th Token Home Mate Cup tournament held at TADO Country Club Nagoya in Mie Prefecture.
June: Token NAS Stainless Co., Ltd. changes its name to Nasluck Co., Ltd.
